Book Review: Draft Season…Four Months on the Clock

Wow! Draft Season…Four Months on the Clock is by far, the best sports book I have ever read in my life! Bobby Deren is the man! I think this book should be made into a ESPN movie. Bobby goes all out in this book. I felt like I was best friends with these 4 football players he followed in his book. He tells about there upbringing, family, how they were raised, and everything else.

You will never again in your life call a athlete DUMB after reading this book! The Draft Season is life or death for these players. There football career comes down to these critical 4 months prior to the NFL Draft. These guys have it rough. They make sacrificies you and I would never do! The book basically starts out when these athletes arrive at TEST faciltiy. It is critical for a player to choose a proper training facility before the NFL Combine. Here they are trained by a guy named Brian. This is where the journey really begins in this book.

You will follow these players to college football All-Star Games, to there Pro-Day in college. You will follow them to the NFL Combine, and through the hustle of agents wanting to sign them. These players tell writer Bobby Deren everything. At one point in the book a famous NFL player who was a high draft pick, calls one of the athletes Bobby follows a uncalled for name.

You will read about a few coaches who coached these 4 guys in college. A few would try to backstab a few of there own players, and attempt to cost them millions or even a career in the NFL. Bobby Deren has courage in this book. He reveals names of these famous coaches and athletes. You will not believe how much these athletes go through at the NFL Combine alone. From doctors probbing them, to even big name NFL GM’s and there rude ways. Nobody is safe in this book.

The truth comes out. Never before in the history of the NFL written books, has one told everything.  This book will have you on the edge of your seat! I would like to thank Bobby Deren for allowing me to review this book. Please go out and buy a copy! I promise you…this is the best book on the NFL Draft you will ever read! I give this book a Perfect 10 Rating! Draft Season..Four Months on the Clock, is as good as it gets!!

Interview with Raven Red Zone’s 100th Facebook Fan!

She was the 100th Fan to join our facebook fan page. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Ravens-Red-Zone/323707055630?ref=ts And now its time for you readers to meet Jessica Jowanowitch aka Mrs.100! I recently had a chance to interview her, and here is what she had to say…

Tim Lumber:  Can you start off first by telling us, why the Ravens are your favorite NFL team?

Jessica Jowanowitch:  I’m from Baltimore and they are a good team. They have had a couple of close games that would have landed them in the playoffs and just like any other team they have had some downfalls. I think with the new additions to the team they will have a good chance this upcoming year.

Tim Lumber:   If someone tried to give you a Pittsburgh Steelers shirt, what would you say to them?

Jessica Jowanowitch:  Don’t you like me anymore? That would burn up nicely. Steelers Suck so keep the shirt!!!!

Tim Lumber:  Your favorite Ravens player is?

Jessica Jowanowitch:  Ray Lewis of course!

Tim Lumber:   If you had to pick one NFL team that you hate more than any…what team would that be, and why?

Jessica Jowanowitch:  It would definately be the Pittsburg Steelers, there is no other team we hate more. Some of their fans think the steelers do no wrong and the Ravens do everything wrong, it gets to be very annoying.

Tim Lumber:  You and your husband and kids are very big Baltimore Mariners football fans. Would you like to say anything about the Mariners?

Jessica Jowanowitch:  I think the Baltimore Mariners are a great indoor team. The team members and coaches and managers are great people. They love to meet their fans and sign autographs and take pictures with their fans. They are very family oriented. And they are 3 and 0.

Tim Lumber:  This is your chance to say anything that you want. It can be on any topic or subject. Is there anything you would like to say?

Jessica Jowanowitch:  If anyone enjoys football and family time together all in the same day they should go to a Mariners game. I love to see my kids faces light up when they see their favorite players, Jamaal Stokes and Scorpio Brown, and just having a good time. It is great and very affordable. The kids and adults get to build a relationship with the players when able to go to all the games. Also, it’s good when your husband is the biggest fan and knows everyone.
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to have an interview with you, it’s nice when a female perspective is able to be heard.

I would like to thank Jessica for taking time out to do this interview. Her and her family are famous Baltimore Mariners fans in Baltimore. So I will end this story by saying…..Go Mariners!!

Raven Fan Claims he was Discriminated against in Cleveland!

Baltimore resident Joe Donald claims he was wrongly locked up last week, while on vacation in Cleveland. While attending the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame he was wearing a Baltimore Ravens T-shirt. “They called me every name in the book!” says a angry Joe Donald. “I wasnt there for a football game, it was love, peace, rock and roll man!” he tells me.

The 60′s born hippie was wrongly arrested in Cleveland. Reports tell me, he cursed out a few of the locals there. When the securtiy from the Hall of Fame came to the scene, he was irrate that the people were starting trouble with him. “I did nothing wrong man, just trying to see some free loving rock and roll stuff man”.

Thats when he refused to leave the Hall of Fame at securities request. The Cleveland police were called and at 3:30 eastern time, he was taken to the Cleveland police station and spent the night on disturbing the peace of all things. “I wasnt disturbing nobody man” he tells me.

“Man, I will never come to Clevaland again, these people have no love for tourists man” he tells me. Yeah Cleveland, looks like you are still mad since your new football team the Cleveland Brownies are still the biggest punchline in the NFL!

Ravens Sign BIG RED!!

NO….Not the Bubble Gum Big Red!
The Ravens have signed the bigman who I have just gave the new nickname Big Red!Sober up already lol, I am talking about Free Agent DL Cory Redding pictured below!!
This guy was once the highest paid Defensive Lineman in the NFL. Cory Redding some believe lacked motivation this past season. But just like the Ravens track record, the team will once again re-salvage a career for a talented NFL veteran. This reminds me of when we signed Trevor Price years ago, he stunk the prior year in Denver, than came a Monster in Baltimore!

Cory Redding wont be sitting on his *ss in Baltimore lol! Ray Lewis will be on him like a Drill Seargent! There is ONE RULE…nobody slacks on the Ravens Defense! Expect Cory Redding to rack up 10 sacks this season! Look out Pittsburgh…hahahaha!

Frank Walker….Could be Gone Like the Wind!

He was that annoying Raven who made these dumb You-Tube videos and posted them online. On this video he is the person who is talking and filming this video. He has the biggest mouth on the Ravens. He was the rumored person, who destroyed the teams chemistry inside the Ravens locker room. He was the player….who could NOT play! Yet he acted like he was a Pro-Bowl player….when we was a Pro-Bowl wannabe!

Now the Ravens have appeared to become smart this offseason. They are letting some of the team rejects go else where, and Walker could be one of them! The Ravens have refused to even make Walker a offer at this point. His mouth has been shown the EXIT sign, the LEAVE Baltimore sign, The Get The HELL Out Of Here Sign!! Walker is in the final stages of signing with a NFC team the Baltimore Sun reports. Thats good news for us. The only news to me is, what stupid team wants to sign a reject CB who couldnt even cover his mother running routes? What team is DUMB and DUMBER like Jim Carrey? Who in the Hell wants to sign reject Frank Walker? We will find out very soon lol!
