John Lee Roy Linde: Three and Not Quite Out

15349_194162661095_781611095_3947414_456147_sWelp, the Choke-A-Holic blew another one. Face it, if it’s not on the right
hash-mark, he’ll miss it. Place it there enough, and he’ll find a way to shank
that, too. Come to think of it, he’s got more shanks than a shakedown at Jessup.
Yeah, he made the next one… but the pressure wasn’t on at that point.

The officiating wasn’t too bad. A couple of bad calls, but nothing really out of
the ordinary. I’ll even say that it was pretty fair. Finally!

The Browns played better than they should have, but then again, they did have an
extra week to prepare for us. Apparently they needed it. It didn’t help, though.
Well, ok, maybe a bit. Tied at Zero at half time isn’t bad against the
Ravens….. unless they are wearing throwback uniforms. Which, I noted, that the
announcers finally nabbed up on some of my previously stated jokes. I wonder if
I can get them to pay me for them?

I was concerned that the teams would just play intra-miral football, and all the
players would gather on one side of the field, with the coaches lining up in
front of them, and choosing teams right before the game started. They’d flip a
coin to see who chooses first, and you can bet the fat kid with the non-football
helmet would be the last chosen. Mean? Maybe…. oh well.

The Ravens shut out the Browns. At the beginning of the season, you could pick 3
or 4 teams they should have shut out. In fact, I called a shut out earlier this
year against said Browns(see B Free Daily for that week). Had it not been for
some bad play and some bad calls, it would have been.

Next up, on a short week, the Colts. Let me say it right now, if the Ravens play
like this against Manning and Company…. it’ll be a bad day for Ravens
fans(especially this one). At least we’ll be at home, and not at Payton’s Place.
:)

Tim Lumber: A Letter to Steve Haushka!

Steve Haushka,
You Bumb!! You couldnt kick your way out of a WET PAPER BAG! You say they used to call you Golden Foot, who was they? You cant see straight loser! Ever been to a eye doctor, you crossed eyed non-kicking fool? I think its time to hang up your cleats, after all you couldnt kick a 4th Quarter Field Goal if your life depended on it bucktooth!

Hey, do Baltimore a favor chief, and ask to be traded to the Cleveland Browns, they have alot of unqualified NFL players on there roster who are collecting big paychecks to do nothing! I read on a message board that you make 600k a season. You recieved a check for 40k after the Vikings game! How do you make more money to miss a field goal and lose the game then most people in Baltimore make in a whole year? You got a check for 40k last week after once again missing a 4th quarter field goal!

I can miss a field goal, where is my 40k? I checked my bank, and the money isnt in my account Steve! I heard a rumor if you miss another 4th quarter field goal your outta here!  I never thought my worst hated player would be a beloved Raven! You are a non-kicking fool! Leave Baltimore, the fans dont want you here…be Gone Like the Wind!! I am mad…Raaaaaaaaaa! Raaaaaaaa! Run Steve Run, act like Forrest and get out of my face….Raaaaaaa!!

John Lee Roy Linde: So….Which Will It Be?

15349_194162661095_781611095_3947414_456147_sWill it be the Ravens against the Browns come Monday? Or will it be the Browns
against the Browns? Yes, that’s how badly they played last week. Ok, that was
last week, and there’s a HUGE difference between the Bengals and the Browns.
Yeah, I can actually say that with a straight face this time.

I’m actually worried about this game, partially because of last weeks
performance, partially because the Choke-a-holic hasn’t been replaced, and
partially because the Ravens have a crap record on Monday Nights. Did I mention
the officials? No, but that is another part of it. The only saving grace, is
that the Browns truly suck. Of course, Any Given Sunday…

After this game, the Ravens’ chances for the playoffs, could be defined. If they
lose, forget the playoffs. Go for the spoiler role, and set up for next year. If
they win, then they still have a chance, but then it goes into the Colts game.
More than usual when the Colts come here, that will be a must-win game. And
it’ll be on a short week.

Those who have seen my pick(s) in the “B Free Daily” paper, know that I will
stick with my team, no matter what. The Ravens should be 6 and 2, but they are
floating at 4 and 4. 5 and 4 is a plus, 4 and 5 makes the rest of the schedule
almost insurmountable.

I am going to beg the Offense, and the Defense, not to mention Coach Harbaugh,
for an early Christmas present… Don’t put this(or any other) game’s outcome on
the foot of the choke-a-holic. He can’t kick under pressure. If you HAVE to kick
it, let Poe kick it… even with the cartoon-style foot, I think he stands a
better chance of making it.

Best Ray Lewis You Tube Video?

Searching You Tube and I found this cool video on Ray Lewis. It has a part animation type to it, which I thought made it kind of cool. At the end it has Ray Lewis knocking players out.

How Did the Browns Make Monday Night Football?

The Cleveland Browns on Monday Night Football? What is wrong with the NFL! The Browns bring the most boring team to prime time this Monday. The only good note for the Ravens is they will be playing against a mediocore QB, and that is big news!!

Tha Ravens have always dominated teams with fair to decent QB’s! The only teams to give the Ravens problems are teams with great QB’s!

The upset of the Broncos wasnt a big shocker in Baltimore considering they had Kyle Orton. I know he is having a good season, but unless you have a legit QB, you will not beat the Ravens! Brady Quinn or Anderson have no chance!

This is a must win for the Ravens, and it they should be playing with fire this Sunday! I am predicting the score to be Ravens 42 Browns 0…Yep Im predicting a huge blowout!!

Greatest Song Ever Features A Raven Bird in Video!!

Well I had the video, but You Tube wouldnt allow me to post it, so here is a generic video of the song, sorry kids!!

We all know by now that the CROW Movie featured a Raven in it. It was because a Crow is much smaller and they wanted a bigger looking Crow. This is also perhaps my favorite movie ever as well. I love this Nine Inch Nails song, its my favortie song of all time. The video shows the Crow digging himself from out of the graveyard.

The Ravens also appeared to be buried alive, but this Monday Night I promise you the Browns will be the team getting there tombstone! They are better off staying home, they have no chance in this game. I am already thinking the Ravens should be favored by 24 points minimum!!

Is This the Final Season of Ed Reeds Career?

There has been growing speculation in Baltimore that this may be Ed Reeds last season. He has been playing with a serious neck injury for 2 years now. Here is a link to a story describing his injury. http://blogimoreravens.com/2008/08/ed-reeds-career-ending-injury.html
Outside of Baltimore few people know that Ed Reed has to play in severe pain. Imagine hitting someone when your neck is hurting so bad you can hardly run. I have a slight idea of the pain.

I had a slipped disk in my neck from a car accident in my early 20′s and like 5 years later I went to Pro Wrestling school. After 2 weeks my neck could not hold up to the severe pain. I feel bad for Ed Reed. Besides Ray Lewis and Jonathan Ogden no player has played with heart like Ed Reed. His video clip shows how much heart he has for football during his famous halftime speech at University of Miami.

These past 2 weeks Ed Reed has went from tackling by hitting hard to reach tackling with his arms. This makes several of us writers believe his neck injury has gotten worst. He is still a great player, but hopefully he puts his health before his career. He is already a millionare and a Future Hall of Famer, maybe its time he gets that much needed surgery! I hate to see a player playing in so much pain!! We here at Ravens Red Zone wish you the best of luck Ed Reed! If this nagging injury is hurting you, then maybe you should retire, YOUR health is more important!!

Tim Lumber: Steve Haushka Misses Another Field Goal!!

I am mad as H*ll as we speak! Usually I have a sense of humor….not today lol! The Ravens have dropped to 4-4 and our season is in legit jeopardy! The Ravens late in the game trailing by 10 points to the Bungals, had there Legendary reject Kicker Steve Haushka attempt a simple 38 yard field goal. With under 7 minutes to play the field goal would have put the Ravens only down by 7.

But as I been saying all along, Steve Haushka cannot kick a pressure situation field goal. Last week he went 4-4 BUT the game was NOT on the line. I predict as the Ravens season reaches its final few games, we may be out of the playoff picture, then this reject kicker will start making them, because the season is over and it doesnt matter! Once the pressure is over he can make them…screw him!

If I was Harbaugh I would make that reject walk back to Baltimore, why pay this idiot a few hundred thousand dollars? Pay me that money, I can miss field goals as well!

Steve Haushka YOU are a idiot! Go to Cleveland and kick field goals! They could use another loser on there football team! I never thought I would see the damn day where my WORST Hated Athlete is on my very own Ravens!

I hate Steve Haushka, I hate him, I hate him, I hate him! Reject, Loser, Bum, Retire you moron! I’m mad today, and I have a problem with Steve Haushka….Leave Baltimore! Your NOT wanted here!!! Rahhhhhhhh!!

John Lee Roy: Did I Just Watch

…A Ravens game, or an Orioles game? Oblong ball; check. Bad officiating; check.
Long field; check. Haushka shanking a field goal; check. Yep… it was a Ravens
game alright. Shame it wasn’t the same Ravens that showed up last week against
Denver. They looked like an 8th grade team against a varsity team.

I love my Ravens, but DAMN! Guys, you’re killing me here! The refs didn’t help,
but you guys KNOW they do that chit. It’s a clear fact that they will call you
for penalties, but not call penalties for you. You did catch a few lucky breaks
on that note, but when you have no score, even biased refs can feel sorry for
you.

I’m thinking that because there were some bad penalties, that Coach should fine
the perpetrators $5000 per yard. This being for valid penalties, mind you. That
money goes into a fund, that gives a discount to fans at the next home game.

Will it happen? No. But it’s a nice idea. WAY too many penalties this time, and
while the refs did blow another good sized chunk of them, there were a lot of
valid ones this time. Someone should clue Coach in to my articles. I saw him say
on Twitter, a lot of things I said a few weeks ago.

I kinda wish I had a working VCR, so I could go back and check all the games,
and see the difference between the legit called penalties, the bogus called
penalties, and the non-called penalties.

I know about this whole “retro” crap going around, but that doesn’t mean you
guys should play like the Browns!
